Privacy Policy

Effective July 5, 2026

This policy explains what TerrainLogic LLC (operating as SiteAcumen) collects when you use the site, and how we use it. We keep this short and don't sell your data.

What we collect

  • The property address you enter and its map coordinates — used to generate your report.
  • Your email address, if you join the waitlist for an area we don't yet cover.
  • Payment details, entered directly with our processor, Stripe — we never see or store your full card number.
  • Basic technical and usage data (e.g. pages visited, device/browser type) that most websites log.

We do not collect biometric identifiers, Social Security numbers, government IDs, health information, credit reports, or your device's live GPS location. The map coordinates we use are for the property address you entered, not for tracking where you are.

How we use it

  • To locate the parcel and build the report you requested.
  • To process your payment and provide access to what you bought.
  • To respond to your support requests.
  • To notify you if you asked to be told when we launch in your area.
  • To understand and improve the service in aggregate.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of trusted service providers to run SiteAcumen:

  • Stripe — payment processing.
  • Google Maps — address autocomplete and static maps.
  • Municipal and geocoding data providers (OpenStreetMap/Nominatim, county GIS systems, and a zoning-data provider) — to locate parcels and look up rules.
  • Vercel and Upstash — hosting and temporary data caching.

We may also disclose information if needed to comply with law, respond to legal process, prevent fraud or abuse, protect SiteAcumen or others, or as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of the business. We would still expect the recipient to handle personal information consistently with this policy. We do not sell your personal information, and we don't share it for others' advertising.

How we protect it

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect the information we collect. No website or internet transmission is perfectly secure, so we can't promise absolute security. If we learn of a security incident that legally requires notice, we will notify affected people and regulators as required by law.

How long we keep it

Report and session data is cached temporarily (on the order of 30 days) so you can reopen a report you purchased, then expires automatically. Waitlist emails are kept until you ask us to remove them. We may keep payment, refund, support, security, and tax records longer when needed for accounting, dispute handling, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or to show how we handled a request.

Cookies

We use only the cookies and local storage needed to make the site work (for example, keeping your session during checkout). We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to delete your information, or unsubscribe from the waitlist, at any time by emailing support@siteacumen.io.

Depending on where you live, you may have legal rights to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal information, or to opt out of certain uses. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Even if a state privacy law doesn't apply to us, you can email us and we'll do what we reasonably can to help. The site is intended for adults and is not directed to children.
